According to the UNESCO education-sector report "Ending school violence" (2019), some learners experience physical fights with their peers. Children who experience violence are also more likely to be vulnerable to gender-based violence at school and at home, because they fail to learn where to draw boundaries early on.
It is for this reason that Re A Bua Foundation today donated copies of *Different but Equal*, authored by our Founder and CEO Ms. Kemmy Mpinang, at Bophirima Primary School in Gaborone. The book raises awareness on the early prevention of GBV among school-going children.
It aims to help children understand important values: kindness, respect, boundary-setting, equality, and the harmful effects of bullying. The initiative nurtures safer and more compassionate students from an early age.
