Honesty first: no website can make itself invisible on your phone. Here is exactly what our safety tools do, what they don't, and what you can do yourself.
What the quick-exit button does
The red button at the top of every page (or pressing Esc twice on a keyboard) instantly replaces the page you are on with an ordinary weather page. Someone glancing at your screen sees the weather.
What it does NOT do
It drops the page you were just on from the Back button, but earlier pages from the same session can still be reached by pressing Back several times — so it is a quick cover for someone walking past, not a way to hide that you were here. It does not erase your browsing history either. If someone checks your phone's history later, this site can still appear there. Private / incognito mode (below) is the only real cover.
What you can do
- Use private / incognito mode. In Chrome: menu (⋮) → "New Incognito tab". Pages you visit there are not saved to history. Close all incognito tabs when done.
- Clear this site from history. Chrome: menu (⋮) → History → find "timeanddate" or this site → delete those entries only. Deleting your whole history can itself look suspicious; removing single entries is quieter.
- Use someone else's phone (a trusted friend's, a library, a kgotla office) for anything you don't want on yours.
- Calls leave traces too. 116 and 999 are free, but appear in your call log; delete the entry after calling if your log is checked.
- WhatsApp: you can delete a chat with us at any time (hold the chat → Delete). Consider whether your WhatsApp is backed up or opened on a shared device.
This site's own behaviour
We keep our side clean: no advertising pixels, no cookies, no tracking that follows you to other apps or websites, and our page title stays a plain "Re A Bua Foundation" so the browser tab doesn't announce itself.
One honest exception: so the help page still opens if your connection drops, this site can save a copy of the Get help page onto this device. That saved copy is not removed by clearing your history — you have to clear the site's data:
- Chrome (Android): menu (⋮) → Settings → Site settings → All sites → find reabua → Delete. Or Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → tick "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files".
- Or simplest: open this site in Incognito mode from the start — it never saves a copy in the first place.
